Name - Any single word name of your choice.
We will personalize the item with your NAME in the order the letters are
entered on the order. We will capitalize the first letter only. If "Miles"
was entered in the “Name/Initials” field and "Name" was chosen as the
"Style" the item would be personalized as shown here.
Name & Initial - Any single word name and initial of your choice.
We will personalize the item with your NAME in the order the letters
are entered on the order along with the first letter of that word. We
will capitalize the first letter only. If "Landon" was entered in the
“Name/Initials” field and "Name & Initial" was chosen as the
"Style" the item would be personalized as shown here.
Single Initial - This can be any letter you choose
The Single Initial will be capitalized. If "C" were entered in the
"Names/Initials" box and "Single Initial" was chosen as the "Style" the
item would be personalized as shown here.
3 Letter Initials - This can be any 3 initials you choose
All 3 initials will be the same size, all capitalized and will be embroidered
in the order they were entered in the "Names/Initials" box.
If "LHL" were entered in the "Names/Initials" box and "3 Letter Initials"
was chosen as the "Style" the item would be personalized as
LHL all being the same size.
3 Letter Monogram - This can be any 3 letters you choose
The 3 letters will be embroidered in the order they are entered in the
"personalization" box and all 3 letters will be capitalized with the Last
Initial being bigger than the other in the middle. If "ALM" for
Alicia Michelle Lewis were entered in the "Names/Initials" box
and "3 Letter Monogram" was chosen as the "Style" the item
would be personalized as shown here.
Custom Text - Any words or phrase
A popular custom text would be “I drool garnet and gold”.
Regardless of the text, the first letter of the first word and the
first letter of any name will be capitalized. All words entered
in the "Wording" box will be embroidered in the order they
are entered. Please email us before placing your order to be
sure that the wording can be done. Due to size requirements,
there are only certain fonts that can be used for custom
text embroidery.
Monogramming Information
Traditionally, a female monogram is the first initial, LAST initial, middle initial.
The first initial & middle initial are smaller on each side of the larger LAST
initial placed in the middle. Brooke Renee Lawrence would be
BLR. Last initial larger and all capitalized.
Traditionally, male monograms are 3 initials all with the same size
and in order. Nicholas Heath Lawrence would be NHL.
All the same size & capitalized.
A contemporary married/engaged couple monogram is the first initial of the
wife, LAST name initial, first initial of the husband. The first initials for the
couples are smaller on each side of the larger LAST initial placed
in the middle. All capitalized. For example, Brooke and Nick Lawrence
would be shown with a smaller B on the left, L in the center and N
on the right. Since 3 letter monograms will be embroidered in the order they are
entered, if you want to switch the man and woman’s initials please be sure
to enter it switched on the order form.
The traditional couple monogram is with the man's name first and the wife's last.
I personally prefer the wife's name first, but it is all up to you as to whose
initial should be first. I have heard reasoning that the wife's name should
be first because linens are generally the wife's domain.
